Canny Succeeds Hennessy

Joe Hennessy, President of Harbour Industries will retire effective March 31st, 2018. 

With his retirement, Joe concludes a distinguished 37 year career in the wire and cable industry most recently as President of Harbour Industries.   He will turn over day to day responsibility to Robert (Bob) Canny, President of Harbour Industries (USA).

On behalf of Harbour's parent company,  Marmon EWC, Joe led the transition of the company from a distribution oriented supplier of Mil-Spec PTFE wire & cable to a highly recognized leader in the development of engineered, high temperature RF and data cables for the commercial and military aerospace markets.  Hennesy succeeded Dennis Dodd, President before him, continuing the development of a strong managerial team.

Canny, currently President of TE Wire will succeed Hennessy and will continue to oversee the management of TE Wire and CCPI, a newly acquired Marmon EWC business in the UK.  Canny is a 38 year veteran of the wire & cable industry with prior positions at Marmon as Vice President & General Manager of the Exane Business, a part of RSCC Wire & Cable.  In 2015, he was promoted to his current position as President of TE Wire & Cable. He is responsible for CCPI Europe Ltd. which is located in Sheffield, UK.

Prior to joining Marmon, Bob spent most of his career in the aerospace wire and cable industry including positions as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Nexans, in North Carolina, and as Vice President Operations and President for the Specialty Products Group at Belden, after their merger with CDT (Cable Design Technologies Corporation). Preceding the merger, he was Group Vice President of Specialty Products for CDT and prior to that promotion he was Vice President and General Manager of CDT's Thermax Wire Company.
