Quirk Wire's Schlichting Retires, Announces New Leadership Including Falardeau

Quirk Wire Co., West Brookfield, Massachusetts, announced that Peter Schlichting, President, will retire as of Dec 31, 2020 after 39 years with the company.   Schlichting was hired by former founder and President, Harrison Quirk, in 1981 as a Plant Manager.   He was promoted to General manager and Vice-President of Sales and Marketing before becoming President in 2014.  Schlicting received tjhe WCMA Distinguished Career Award in 2016.   Founder, Quirk, was a recipient in 1997.

 

Quirk Wire is a manufacturer of high temperature wire and cable using Fluoropolymer insulations.   Among Schlichting's final actions was to lead Quirk Wire's through a recently completed facility expansion which includes new PTFE processing equipment and improvements. The new addition should be operational by the summer of 2021 and will include better flow for lean manufacturing.

At the same time, Quirk's Board of Directors after an in-depth search of the current management team announced the following management succession:  Mary Falardeau, long time Treasurer and CFO, was promoted to President.  Eric Ostiguy, General Manager and Assistant Treasurer, is now Senior Vice President and Treasurer.   Sales Manager, Ashley Clark, was promoted to Vice-President Sales, and Mark Long, Operations Manager, was promoted to Vice-President of Operations.
