WCMA regrets to inform Members and Associates that Edward (Ed) Walton passed peacfully on March 19 in Hartford, CT. Walton was a recipient of the WCMA Distinguished Career Award in 2009.
Walton had most recently completed his career as a consultant for RSCC Wire & Cable, East Granby, CT. He began his career in 1966 at Times Wire & Cable responsible for connectors and microwave assemblies for military aircraft and for nuclear applications. During the 1970s and 1980s he held senior management positions in product engineering and sales and marketing in those market segments for Brand-Rex which later became Brintec. When Brintec was sold, Walton joined Rockbestos, New Haven, Connecticut. He went back to Times Microwave during the 90s, then later joined Surprenent, which became Rockbestos-Surprenant. In 1999, he joined Draka Cableteq where he ultimately became general manager of its Lifeline fire protection product line for North America.
