Young Executives & Early Career Professionals

In December 2019, WCMA inaugurated a program for Young Executives and Emerging Professionals to focus attention on developing networking and educational offerings for executives and individuals in the 25-40 age range, as well as foster mentoring by industry veterans.  The group’s leadership will include company owners and managers but activities will be open to all industry representatives in that age range.

Current Leadership includes Charles Glew, President, Cable Components Group, Steering Committee Chair; and Steering Committee members Trish Weisberg, Director Human Resources and Safety; Grant Campbell, and Paul Gemelli, President, Gem Gravure.

Mission Statement: Provide a forum for early career and high potential professionals to discuss the necessary skills, strategies, and psychology to be a leader in the wire & cable industry.

Key Topics This Group will develop:

Differentiation as a leader in Wire & Cable requires cross-functional understanding of your organization, vendors, and customer i.e. operations, product knowledge, market knowledge, and business administration.    Plot a path to achieve this.

Wire & Cable requires product knowledge in all functionals of the organization. Learn how best to learn about the products your company makes and how the customer views them.

The Wire & Cable Industry has longevity and is central to our technological future i.e. industrial automation, AI, a changing power grid, and data storage/security.  Participate in this vital industry.

Sustainability & recycling will be central to the industries future as resources become more limited. Connecting cable design, business strategy, and operations with sustainability is an advantage to Wire & Cable companies.
